Chevy Traverse to be built in Spring Hill, TN plant
GM is launching its new Chevrolet Traverse in hopes the new eight-passenger crossover will attract buyers who have since fled away from SUVs due to the gas crisis. The plant once known for building GM's Saturn brand is thrilled to stay open. The majority of the plant's workers were furloughed while the plant was updated and retooled for the new model this year. Many of them are happy to still have a job in these tough times.
