GM Marketing and Sport Events

One thing GM's marketing dept. deserves credit for is their ability to get exposure at major sporting events. The MVP of the Superbowl, which just do happens to be the most watched single sporting event in the world, gets to drive home in a new Cadillac and the MVP of baseballs all-star game gets a top of the line SUV manufactured by none other than the General himself. This year the folks in marketing pulled out all the stops when during the all star parade up 6th Ave, all the players and coaches were driven in brand new GM vehicles over red carpets while tons of adoring fans screamed and waved at their favorite players and got a glimpse of GM's new lineup of hybrid automobiles
